How to Cure Jaundice of the Liver?
One of the major conditions is jaundice, which means yellowing of the skin and eyes due to excessive bilirubin in the blood.
Here’s how to manage and cure liver jaundice in some simple steps.
1. Consult a Doctor: First, one needs to consult a doctor. They will diagnose what is the cause of the jaundice, be it in the form of liver diseases, hepatitis, cirrhosis, or blockage of the bile ducts. Your doctor will then recommend tests to find out exactly what the problem is.
2. Proper Diet: Eating the right foods can help your liver heal. Include:
Fruits and Vegetables: They are rich in vitamins and antioxidants that nourish the liver.
Whole Grains: Brown rice and whole wheat bread are foods which keep one well as they help in digestion and the working of the liver.
Avoid Alcohol: Consumption of alcohol can exacerbate conditions related to the liver and should be avoided completely.
3. Stay Hydrated: Stay hydrated by drinking a lot of water during the day. Water intake helps the liver to remove toxins and bilirubin more effectively from the body. Try to take at least 8 glasses of water in a day.
4. Take Sufficient Rest: Rest is part of recovery. Get plenty of rest and try to avoid hard physical work or activities that may put a lot of stress on your body. Your liver needs time to heal itself. The more rest, the better it can do this.
5. Medication: Since your jaundice is triggered by an infection or inflammation, the doctor is likely to prescribe medication. Follow the prescribed dosage with due care and take the entire course to get proper treatment for the organ malfunction.
6. Avoid Toxins: Avoid exposure to chemicals and toxins that cause liver damage. Never take any drug without consulting your doctor.
7. Regular Check-ups: After the initial treatment has begun, frequent follow-up care will be necessary. Following these steps and maintaining a good relationship with your physician, one can easily bring out the effectiveness of managing and treating jaundice of the liver.
